The GHS Lady Eagles Volleyball team volunteered to work with the Humane Society of Greenwood on Saturday, August 8. When the Humane Society found out they had volunteers, they were very excited — that is until they heard how many volunteers we had to offer. Twenty-six in all! They weren’t sure what to do with so many volunteers. The team and coaches worked in shifts at the Humane Society and PetSmart to oIMG_0829ffer their services doing activities including cleaning up, socializing the pets, organizing the facilities, and working at an adoption event. They were even able to get to some projects that had previously been put on the back burner. The workers at the Humane Society were profuse in their thanks and the girls on the team have already stated that they are excited for and looking forward to their next service opportunity. Congratulations to the Lady Eagles volleyball team for reaching out a helping hand to our community!
