Night Time Jump Bringing Game Ball in for Playoffs

The game ball will be jumped in again this Friday at 7:15 pm before the home Greenwood and Easley playoff football game.   The jump will be after dark with the parachute team wearing lights and carrying the American Flag.

Cheerleaders and Varsity Football Players Celebrate with Merrywood Elementary

Varsity Cheerleaders and Senior Football Players Celebrated PBIS with Merrywood Elementary students on 11/16.   Miss GHS Destiny Gilchrist and Joe Hartung spoke with each group of students.    The cheerleaders also did three different cheers.   Cheerleaders,Football players and the Merrywood students then went outside and enjoyed recess together

Football visits USC on Election Day.

The Greenwood High Football Team visited the University of South Carolina on Tuesday, November 8th.   The players and coaches got to attend practice, tour the indoor facility, the weight room, game field and watch a highlight video.

Varsity Football Visits Clemson

Dorothy Anna Russell places at State

Dorothy Anna Russell finished 23rd in the State Championships in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:13.27. She was the 5th Greenwood High Swimmer to go to the State Championships individually and the 3rd female swimmer.

Williams and Calhoun Compete in SCBCA Elite Camp.

Congratulations to sophomore’s Donovan Williams and JaVarion Calhoun on being selected to participate in the SCBCA (South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association) Elite Camp this past weekend in Columbia. Both student-athletes represented Greenwood well!

Eagles Open Doors Donate Bookbags

On Friday, September 2nd the 12th grade Varsity Football Players opened car doors, donated full book bags and read to students at Pinecrest Elementary.    Senior receiver Roshun Jackson said, “it was a good experience to be able to help the young kids out and give back a little to our community”.
