The Greenwood Lady Eagles Track team traveled to Spring Valley High School to compete in the 2016 Taco Bell Classic. 130 teams from all over the southeast competed this past Friday and Saturday at the event. The following girls traveled to compete at the event: Anna Kathryn Stoddard, Ciera Richards, Alora Richardson, Amber Livingston, Toniya Gilchrist-Henderson, Brentasia Jones, Kaylen Rice, Zy Lagroon, Carolina Sadurski, Anna Geoly, Shelby Seymour, and Okeya Durant. Highlights from the weekends meet included Anna Kathryn Stoddard finishing 16th out of 158 in the mile with a time of 5:17 and finished 22nd out of 155 in the 800m with a time of 2:24. Shelby Seymour finished 29th out of 105 in the 2mile with a time of 11:58 which was a pr for her. Ciera Richards finished 71 out of 126 in the 200m dash with a time of 28.16. Carolina Sadurski finished 85th out of 155 in the 800m with a. Time of 2:37, and Tongelayah Lagroon finished 28 out of 51 in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:13. The girls 4×100 relay team finished 30th out of 49 with a time of 51.58. The Lady Eagles had a very strong showing and many times were improved and other personal records were achieved for the ladies. On Wednesday of this upcoming week at 8am Ciera Richards and Anna Kathryn Stoddard will both be signing their college letters of intent. Ciera will be signing with Converse and Anna Kathryn will be signing with the University of South Carolina.
