Congratulations to the Greenwood High School swim team on wrapping up another successful season. Five swimmers represented GHS at the state swim meet in Charleston, including Seniors Sarah Ellen Johnson and Megan Smith, Junior Aidan Driscoll, and Freshmen Spencer Smith and Ethan Hobbs.
Senior Megan Smith now holds Greenwood High’s third place record in the 200 Free with a personal best time of 2 minutes 14 seconds.
Senior Sarah Ellen Johnson broke the first place school records in the individual medley, with a personal best time of 2 minutes 18 seconds, and the first place school record in the 100 breaststroke, with a personal best time of 1 minute 11 seconds.
Freshman Spencer Smith also broke two first place GHS records in the 200 free with a personal best time of 2 minutes, and the 100 backstroke with a personal best time of 1 minute 2 seconds.
Freshman Ethan Hobbs powered through the 500 free with a personal best time of 5 minutes 44 seconds to earn the GHS 4th place record. His personal best time in the individual medley of 2 minutes 27 seconds also earned him the 4th place school record in that event.
