After a slow start, the Eagles exploded for 8 runs in the 6th to beat the Vikings 10-1. Matt Murray (2-0) got the win for the Eagles coming on in the 3rd inning in relief of Graham Peeler. Murray pitched 3 1/3 innings striking out 5 while giving up 0 hits. Peeler pitched 2 2/3 innings striking out 2. Austin Christopher finished it off pitching the final inning. He struck out 2 and did not give up a hit in his inning of work.
The Eagles were led at the plate by TJ Aiken (2-2) and Pat Wood (2-4). Lowndes Still, Trey Taylor, Graham Peeler, Elijah Tiller, and Cade Liner registered a hit for the Eagles. Peeler and Aiken each had a HR on the night.
Greenwood improves their record to (3-3) and will travel to Fox Creek Wednesday for a non-region contest.
